- Howdy!
-
- I've seen posts here before from folks who've put C64's in PC
- tower cases. I got the instructions for hooking up a PC keyboard to a
- C64 from an earlier post, but I'd like to find out how others have put
- the C64 in the PC case. Specifically:
-
- 1. How did you provide access to the C64's ports? Is it possible
- to run ribbon cables from the board so that things like cartridges can
- be plugged in from accesible areas (I was thinking that a custom
- built cartridge port in the front of a tower case might be nifty,
- depending on whether it's actually feasible - I'm an amateur at these
- things).
-
- 2. Do you have disk drives installed inside the case?
- Obviously a 1541 is too damn big, but I think my Excelerator Plus drive
- would fit in a 5 1/4 bay. I've never seen CMD's hard drives - could
- they be put in a tower case?
-
- 3. How do you provide power? A big tower case could contain
- all the power supplies; could you then just plug them into an internal
- power strip, that you turn on from the switch at the front of the
- tower case?
-
- If you have answers to these questions and other relevant
- issues, please post 'em!
-
- Thanks!
